LH represented the plaintiff, a global furniture and home furnishing giant, and obtained a favorable judgment prohibiting the defendants’ use of infringing marks, including one mark that had been registered by one of the defendants for over 10 years.
Qingdao Intermediate court ruled that the trademark asserted by the plaintiff shall be recognized as a well-known trademark, and that the defendant’ mark was filed in bad faith, so the plaintiff is entitled to request the court to prohibit the mark’s use despite its over-10-year registration. The court awarded compensation in the amount of RMB 3.05 million in total.
